I started to write Hatta Wiki because I couldn't find a wiki engine written in Python that would be simple and easy to modify (not just extend). I also wanted to experiment with a couple of techniques.

At this point (end of year 2009) I'm putting only small amount of my time into Hatta, concentrating on bugfixes and improvements of the code. There is a number of features it is still missing, but not much in my opinion.

You can usually find me on the channel #wiki on http://freenode.net under nick of TheSheep.

For more about me, see my home page.

I'm wondering which version of Hatta should be documented on this wiki: I've tried to keep it up to date with the latest stable release, but this means that I have to wait with any edits until the release. By that time I often simply forget what was added or changed, and I don't have the energy to edit a lot of pages at a time and update everything on the same day. I'm thinking about just keeping a clone of this wiki and updating it to be up-to-date with the development version, and then synchronizing it on release.

Yes, that seems very practical and useful. Hopefully you will prominently mention where to find the two versions of the repos for others to clone and what the distinction is between them.

Speaking of release, any volunteers for building the Windows and Mac binaries? Unfortunately I don't have access to development setups on those platforms anymore. – Radomir Dopieralski

Some of you might have noticed that the hatta-wiki.org website and it's related sites were not available for several days. That's because I had to move them to a different hosting, and some technical problems coupled with lack of time made it a little more difficult than expected. Most everything should be working fine now, except for translation.hatta-wiki.org, which I hope to bring online soon. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. – Radomir Dopieralski
